LUNA

Luna is the little Miss Sunshine in the Team Lewis family. But it hasn't always been like that for her! Luna is adopted, and her journey has been a miracle. She was taken away from her owners in Alta, probably for a good reason. She came to a second family, a town South in Norway. They loved her a lot, but when they were out for a walk, the leash snapped in two, and she ran off. Luna has never seen a train because up north there are no trains. She probably didn't know the danger, and got hit by a train! Fortunately, only one eye had to be removed. Then it turns out that the child of the second family had become allergic to her. That's when I got the call and was asked if I could take Luna into my home. Since Luna was just a year old, I said YES!

Luna was a wreck and totally scared. As it turns out, Luna has shown excellent lead dog skills and endurance, which is what you want in a sled dog. Today, she is a happy dog in the family. She still needs to warm up to new people, but as soon as she finds out that you won't harm her. She will wag that tail, and you will have the happiest one-eyed dog smiling at you!
