KOVU
Kovu is a mamma's boy. He is always around. I think it is because he has been the underdog in the team and therefore seeks safety by my side. Food is probably the only thing he defends. I was out skijoring with some friends. I was in front, with two dogs. One of the friends was skijoring behind me with Kovu, which was not a problem. But I wanted to take a photo, so I let my friend with Kovu pass. They didn't run far before Kovu stopped running and turned around waiting for me.
Kovu is becoming a very good lead dog and has taken over after his father, Jassa. Every winter is better and better. Two seasons ago he did not want to go off-trail, but now he is more than willing to go off-trail, despite being easier to run on the trail. He surprises me every year. Now I just need to find a girl for him so he can take the generation further.
