Jassa is quite the gentleman! He grew up in Malangen and Alta at Hallgeir Jenssen's home, before he relocated south to be one of the first members of Team Lewis.

Jassa has always been the boss, but ever since he became a senior, and stronger new members of the family have arrived, he no longer is. But most of the dogs still see him as the above authority member.  Jassa is not a god playdate, especially if you're a male dog. Jassa has taken care of so many puppies in his life that he is tired of it. It's not that he has the energy to pick I fight. But if you are new or not. He'll come right up to your dog and shout right in his face and tell him, don't you dare bother me. Some dogs might be really scared of that.

I mentioned that Jassa is a gentleman, why? well, he really takes good care of his pack or anyone for that matter. Makes sure everyone is ready and groomed. Cleanness is his specialty, if he sees dirt, he could whimper a bit. Jassa makes a big effort to make sure he and everyone are clean.

In the summer of 2019, I was afraid Jassa had to leave. He was in a lot of pain. Trouble getting up after a nap. Didn't want to sit because it was too painful, and barely wanted to move around. I knew, going on painkillers for a long time is not ideal. I believe that nature was given to us to use it. So I decided to try out some essential oils. I contacted a friend about this and she gave me some recommendations. I ended up giving Jassa a capsule of One drop of each of Frankincense,  Copaiba, and Turmeric. The rest of the capsule was filled with fractionated coconut oil.  I gave him this two times a day. After a couple of days. Jassa became his old energetic self again. Jassa runs free after the sled and whenever I slow down the sled he jumps by and runs up in front of the team. I know if I hadn't tried out the essential oils. Jassa wouldn't have been with us today.  I recommend all senior dogs to do the same as Jassa.
